SHIFT is located within the CrossFit Pi gym on Woodbury Business Park. Full directions and map available on the Contact tab.

Use the ‘Book’ tab at the top of the website, and select the class you wish to attend. The booking system will guide you through registering.

Anynormal gym clothing. Ideally not loose fitting. Leggings or shorts, (padded shorts optional), t -shirt or vest. Normal trainers are fine, our bikes are compatible with SPD cleats if you have cycling shoes.

Classes can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance. If you. need to cancel, just login on the Book page, find your class and select cancel. Cancellations are permitted up to 1hr before the session starts.

We have 10 bikes available for booking for every session. We use stateof the art Stages SC3 bikes, and connect to your mobile device during the session.

SHIFT is suitable for ALL fitness levels and abilities. If you’re just starting out then that’s great – we want to help you get fit… we don’t expect you to be fit when you start!

We can supply sweat towels when needed and we have a tap to fill up your water bottles. 

Yes. We have access to both male and female showers and toilets.

How to Prepare for your first class

1Booking

Bikes must be reserved in advance. Classes are available to be booked up to 2 weeks prior, if you are waitlisted you will be notified if a slot becomes available and you can then book the session.

2What to Bring

Water bottle, trainers or SPD Cleats (cycling shoes which clip into the bikes) and a positive mental attitude (PMA!). SHIFT will provide you with a towel and sanitising station for you and your bike.

3Arrival Time

Please ensure you arrive no earlier than 15mins before your start time. Late arrivals will not be permitted, as this disrupts the session for the other members. Doors will be shut 5mins after prescribed start time, after this you will lose a session credit if you aren’t on your bike!

4Warm Up and Cool Down

All classes are 45min and sessions will include a thorough warm up and cool down.

5Fuel

Ideally try to eat a substantial meal no later than 2hrs before your session to ensure the best possible performance. Fuelling your body and staying hydrated throughout these sessions is key.

6Intelligent Cycling

Download the Intelligent Cycling app on your smartphone, don’t worry about setting it up, we will help with that in your first session.

7Say Hello!

Introduce yourself to the Instructor and to other members, we’re all here for our own reasons, but we want to work together to reach our goals. We want this to be a fun and inviting atmosphere for everyone to train in. Your instructor will help you set up your bike and ensure you get comfortable with what’s going to happen during class, then just sit back, enjoy the music and get ready to put your SHIFT in!
